Terms and Conditions

Please read these Terms and Conditions before you buy. In short:

  • To buy, you need a customer Account – your patterns are stored there (My account → Downloads).
  • Our products are digital files. The rules for withdrawing from the contract are explained in section 11.
  • We do not exchange products, also if you buy the same pattern twice by mistake.
  • Sewing patterns are protected by copyright. Sharing, reselling or giving away the files is not allowed and may lead to civil and criminal liability. What you may do with a pattern is explained in the Licence (section 9).
  • The prices, number of downloads and licence of each Sewing Club plan are always shown on the Sewing Club page and in the plan description at the time of purchase – not in these Terms.

2. General provisions

  1. These Terms set out the rules for using the Store, concluding and performing contracts, and the rights and obligations of the Seller and Customers.
  2. Through the Store, the Seller enables the Customer to conclude a Contract for the supply of digital content: a one-time purchase of a Product or a Sewing Club subscription.
  3. You can contact the Seller by e-mail at biuro@strefakrojuiszycia.pl, by phone at +48 792 002 264 or by post at Strefa Kroju i Szycia, ul. Grunwaldzka 54, 41-800 Zabrze, Poland. We answer on business days (Monday–Friday, 8:00–16:00 Polish time).
  4. Reviews shown in the Store come only from Customers who bought the product they review.

3. Using the Store

  1. Browsing the Store does not require an Account. Placing an order requires an Account (section 5) and true, up-to-date personal data; anonymous purchases or purchases under a pseudonym are not possible.
  2. Technical requirements: a device with Internet access, an up-to-date web browser (e.g. Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge) with cookies and JavaScript enabled, an active e-mail address, software that opens PDF files and unpacks ZIP archives, and a printer or a copy shop to print patterns. Any further requirements are stated in the Product description.
  3. The Customer must use the Store lawfully and in line with these Terms, in particular: not interfere with the Store or its content, not post unlawful content, and use content, graphics and photos only as allowed by the Licence.
  4. If the Customer breaches these Terms (in particular section 3.3 or the Licence), the Seller may restrict or block access to the Store or the Account (section 5.6) and pursue claims for damages.
  5. The Seller may run promotions; their rules are stated each time. Promotions cannot be combined unless their rules say otherwise.

4. Electronic services

  1. The Seller provides the following free electronic services: browsing the Store, the order form, the Account, the wishlist and the newsletter.
  2. The order form service ends when the order is placed.
  3. The newsletter is provided free of charge for an indefinite period. You can unsubscribe at any time via the link in each newsletter e-mail or by contacting us.
  4. The services are available 24/7. The Seller may temporarily suspend the Store for maintenance or development and is not liable, to the extent permitted by law, for interruptions caused by force majeure, unlawful actions of third parties or the Customer’s equipment.
  5. Complaints about electronic services can be sent to the contact details in section 2.3, with your name, e-mail address and a description of the problem. We reply within 14 days.

5. Account

  1. An Account is created during the first order (the Customer sets a password at checkout) or in My account. It requires the data marked as required and acceptance of these Terms and the Privacy Policy.
  2. In the Account, the Customer can: download purchased Products and Products unlocked in the Sewing Club, see orders and subscriptions, manage the subscription (including cancelling it), and change their data and password.
  3. The Customer must not share their login details with third parties. Sharing an Account breaches the Licence.
  4. The Account contract is concluded for an indefinite period. The Customer may delete the Account at any time, free of charge and without giving reasons, by writing to us. A Consumer may also withdraw from the Account contract within 14 days of its conclusion. Deleting the Account means losing access to the Products stored in it – please download your files first.
  5. If the Customer is not given access to the Account immediately, the Customer may request it; if access is still not given, the Customer may withdraw from the Account contract (Art. 43j of the Consumer Rights Act).
  6. The Seller may block the Account if the Customer acts to the Seller’s detriment, in particular breaches the Licence, the law or these Terms. The Seller will inform the Customer by e-mail; blocking terminates the Account contract with immediate effect. The Seller may also terminate the Account contract with 14 days’ notice sent by e-mail.

6. Products and the Sewing Club

  1. Products are digital content within the meaning of the Consumer Rights Act and works protected by the Polish Copyright Act of 4 February 1994. Each Product description states what the Customer receives (e.g. instructions, file formats, sizes).
  2. One-time purchase. A purchased Product is available in My account → Downloads and via the link in the order e-mail as soon as the payment is confirmed. The Seller keeps purchased Products available for download for at least 2 years from purchase. A Product bought individually always comes with the Hobby Licence (section 9.2).
  3. Sewing Club. The Sewing Club is a subscription renewed automatically for consecutive billing periods until cancelled. The price, billing period, number of Downloads per billing period and Licence type of each Plan are those shown on the Sewing Club page and in the Plan description at the time the Customer subscribes or changes Plan; they are confirmed in the order summary and the order e-mail.
  4. Within a Plan, the Customer chooses Products in the Store (“Get it with your Club plan”); each unlock uses one Download. Unlocked Products appear in My account → Downloads and may be downloaded many times while the subscription is active.
  5. Unused Downloads do not roll over to the next billing period.
  6. When the subscription ends (cancellation, non-payment, or end of the paid period), access to Products unlocked in the Sewing Club and the commercial licence of the Plan (if any) end as well. Products bought individually remain available.
  7. Some Products may be excluded from the Sewing Club; this is shown on the Product page. Such Products can only be bought individually.
  8. The Customer may cancel the subscription at any time in My account → Subscriptions. The subscription then stays active until the end of the paid billing period and is not renewed. Fees for billing periods that have started are not refunded, subject to the Consumer’s statutory rights (sections 10–11).
  9. The Seller may change the Plans offered (prices, number of Downloads, Licence) for the future. A change to an existing subscription is notified by e-mail at least 14 days before it takes effect; if the Customer does not accept it, the Customer may cancel the subscription before the change takes effect.
  10. The Seller may update Products (e.g. corrections, new sizes, improved instructions). Updates are placed free of charge in the Account. Updates are not necessary to keep Products in conformity with the contract.
  11. If you cannot open a downloaded file, please contact us (section 2.3).

7. Orders

  1. Orders can be placed 24/7. The Customer adds Products or a Plan to the cart, logs in or creates an Account, provides the required data, chooses a payment method, accepts these Terms and the Privacy Policy, and then clicks the order button.
  2. Until the order button is clicked, the Customer may change the order and enter a discount code, if available.
  3. The contract is concluded when the order is placed; the Seller confirms it by e-mail. Products are supplied after the payment has been confirmed.
  4. A receipt or invoice is issued for each order and sent electronically. By accepting these Terms, the Customer agrees to receive invoices electronically.

8. Prices and payments

  1. Prices are shown in US dollars (USD). Prices are final: they include VAT where applicable. For Consumers in the European Union, VAT of the Customer’s country is applied and included in the price (EU OSS scheme); the VAT amount is shown at checkout.
  2. Available payment methods are shown at checkout. Sewing Club fees are charged at the start of each billing period; for payment methods that do not support automatic renewal, the Customer receives a renewal payment request by e-mail, and access may be paused until the payment is made.
  3. The Seller may change prices. A price change does not affect orders already placed; for existing subscriptions, section 6.9 applies.
  4. Prices are not personalised on the basis of automated decision-making.

9. Licence

  1. All Products, as well as texts, photos (including images of people), illustrations and graphics in the Store, are protected by copyright. The Seller holds the economic rights to them. By supplying a Product, the Seller grants the Customer a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence on the terms below.
  2. Hobby Licence (every one-time purchase, and Plans without a commercial licence): the Customer may print the pattern for their own use and sew items for themselves, their family and friends. Selling items sewn from the pattern is not allowed.
  3. Commercial Licence (only Plans described as including a commercial licence on the Sewing Club page, and only while the subscription is active): in addition to the Hobby Licence, the Customer may sew and sell finished items made from Products unlocked in the Sewing Club. The commercial licence covers finished items only – never the pattern files. Items made and sold while the subscription was active do not need to be withdrawn after it ends.
  4. Under any Licence it is forbidden to: share, resell, give away, lend or publish the pattern files or their printouts (also free of charge or in groups and forums); share Account login details; remove copyright notices; modify the patterns and distribute them as one’s own; use the Seller’s photos and graphics without written consent.
  5. Breaching the Licence may result in civil and criminal liability and in blocking the Account (section 5.6).

10. Conformity of digital content with the contract (complaints)

  1. The Seller supplies Products in conformity with the contract and is liable to the Consumer for any lack of conformity in accordance with Chapter 5b of the Consumer Rights Act – for 2 years from supply, and for Products supplied continuously (Sewing Club) throughout the period of supply.
  2. If a Product is not in conformity with the contract, the Consumer may demand that it be brought into conformity. If this is impossible, would require excessive costs, has not been done within a reasonable time, the lack of conformity persists or is so significant that it justifies it, the Consumer may demand a price reduction or withdraw from the contract (not if the lack of conformity is insignificant). The Consumer is asked to cooperate, to a reasonable extent, in checking whether the problem is caused by their own digital environment.
  3. A complaint can be sent in any form to the contact details in section 2.3, ideally with: name, e-mail address, order number, description of the problem and what you request. We reply within 14 days. Refunds are made within 14 days, using the original payment method unless agreed otherwise.

11. Right of withdrawal

  1. A Consumer may withdraw from a distance contract within 14 days of its conclusion without giving reasons, subject to section 11.2.
  2. Digital content: the Consumer loses the right of withdrawal from a contract for the supply of digital content if, before placing the order, they expressly agreed to the supply of the digital content before the end of the withdrawal period and acknowledged that they would lose the right of withdrawal, and the Seller has started the supply (the Product has been made available for download or unlocked). Where such consent is given, the Seller confirms it on a durable medium (e.g. in the order e-mail). Without such consent, or if no Product has been made available yet, the right of withdrawal remains.
  3. Sewing Club: the above applies to Products unlocked in the Club. A Consumer who withdraws from the subscription within 14 days of subscribing and has not unlocked any Product receives a full refund of the first payment.
  4. The right of withdrawal does not apply to Customers buying for their professional business purposes (other than Entrepreneurs with consumer rights).
  5. Withdrawal is made by sending a statement in any form, e.g. by e-mail to biuro@strefakrojuiszycia.pl. The Seller confirms receipt by e-mail and refunds payments within 14 days, using the original payment method unless agreed otherwise.

12. Out-of-court dispute resolution

  1. A Consumer may use out-of-court ways of resolving complaints, e.g. mediation or a consumer arbitration court at the Provincial Inspectorate of Trade Inspection (Wojewódzki Inspektorat Inspekcji Handlowej) competent for the Seller’s registered office, or free help from a municipal consumer ombudsman. Information is available at uokik.gov.pl.
  2. Consumers living in another EU country may also contact the European Consumer Centre in their country (consumer-network.ec.europa.eu).

13. Personal data

The controllers of personal data are the partners of D. Dzienis, K. Dzienis s.c. Strefa Kroju i Szycia, ul. Grunwaldzka 54, 41-800 Zabrze, Poland. Personal data is processed as described in the Privacy Policy.

14. Final provisions

  1. Contracts in the Store are concluded in English.
  2. These Terms are governed by Polish law. This does not deprive a Consumer of the protection of the mandatory provisions of the law of the country where the Consumer has their habitual residence.
  3. Disputes with Customers who are not Consumers are resolved by the court competent for the Seller’s registered office.
  4. The Seller may amend these Terms for important reasons (changes in the law, in payment methods, in the services or functions of the Store, in the Seller’s data, editorial corrections, prevention of abuse). Customers with an active subscription or Account are informed by e-mail at least 14 days before the changes take effect and may terminate the contract before then. Orders placed before the change are governed by the previous Terms.
  5. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits Consumers’ rights under mandatory provisions of law. In case of conflict, those provisions prevail.
  6. These Terms apply from 3 November 2026.
